Take Cover!

Some people do not like when other band’s cover their favorite band’s songs. But sometimes the cover song is actually better than the original!  “I Will Always Love You” by Whitney Houston was originally by Dolly Parton. “I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll” by Joan Jett is actually a cover!

Here are a few songs that I like better than by the original artist.

“Summertime Sadness” by Lana Del Rey was a big hit. But you know what I like even better? The cover by Our Lady Peace. I love Raine Maida’s vocals on it.

Of course you know “Blank Space” by Taylor Swift. Who doesn’t? Here’s a metal version of the hit song by I Prevail. Love. It.

Check out the side by side version.

Stevie Nicks sings so beautifully on Fleetwood Mac’s “Landslide.” But I do love the Smashing Pumpkins version a bit better. Sometimes it brings me to tears (“But time makes you bolder. Children get older. I’m getting older too.”) Yeah, that part. My oldest is going to college in two years!

The Beatles “Helter Skelter” is awesome. But do you know what’s more awesome? Motley Crue’s “Helter Skelter!” Turn that mother up!

And between current and classic, here’s David Bowie’s “Under Pressure” by The Used and My Chemical Romance.
