5 Songs To Cry To.
I hope you’re having a good Monday so far! So lately there’s been a lot of sad in my reading, writing, and movie watching. In honor of the many cries I’ve had lately, I thought I’d compile 5 of my favorite songs to cry to.
Everyone needs a good cry, right?
Oh man, Logan. You kill me–gets me every time.
Get ready to get out the tissues!
Breathe Me by Sia- Why? Five words–Six Feet Under Series Finale.
Angel by Sarah McLachlan – Why? The lyrics and Sarah’s sweet voice. This one gets me EVERY TIME. Special shout out, “I Will Remember You” also a song that elicits rabid tears when played.
Black by Pearl Jam – Why? This song is one of the most beautiful emotional break-up songs out there. Eddie Vedder has an unforgettable voice and his lyrics are soul wrenching. “I know someday you’ll have a beautiful life. I know you’ll be a star in somebody else’s sky, but why or why can’t it be mine.”
Hallelujah by Jeff Buckley – Why? I don’t think anyone needs to ask why, this is just a seriously weepy song. It’s been remade a crazillion times, but no one has done it like Jeff and I truly believe no one ever will. *cries*
Mad World by Gary Jules (Michael Andrews) – Why? I heard this song on Donnie Darko, you know that movie with Jake Gyllenhaal and I fell in love. It’s one of the most haunting songs I’ve ever heard. This is a situation where the cover completely outshines the original. Bonus, it makes you think about life while you cry your buckets of tears.
Are ya crying yet? What about you? Which songs do you cry to?
Enjoy your week!
